I’m an empowerment mentor and leadership coach. I am also a medicine woman. I started my healing journey 10 years ago, have owned a coaching company for 6 years, and moved full time into the transformational coaching space 4 years ago.
In that time I have directly supported 750+ paying clients, led 5 dozen retreats, and organically grown an online community of 150k+ members just by sharing my creative voice and the wisdom I’ve learned from my own personal experience. I don’t have a million certifications, degrees, or accolades.

I'M JOHN DOWNS.
My journey to Unapologetic began with a 20-year business and investment career where I constantly found myself at the frontier of fast-paced and volatile emerging markets.
From de-regulated telecom in the late 90s, to tech during the 2000 dot com bubble, to owning a mortgage company during the inflation of the housing bubble, to being a stockbroker in international emerging markets during the credit crisis, followed by trailblazing the legal cannabis industry, to present day… where I am paving the future for the legal psychedelic ecosystem and holding space for clients in 1:1 coaching and ceremony work…
I’ve unapologetically said YES to my adventure through it all.
I’ve never been afraid to start a new business venture or follow my passion into a new industry.
The biggest shift was to go from corporate + business development to personal + spiritual development.
I worried in making that transition that I wouldn’t be financially successful, and therefore I’d be unhappy. But what really happened is that, I realized the answers I had been seeking through material wealth and status lied within.
When I began to look within, I became happier. I helped more people. And funny enough, I made more money than ever before.
